Title: Materials Manager

With: The Productivity Team



Essential Functions

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery in a cost-effective manner
  • Establish, implement and ensure effective operation of the Purchasing System
  • Optimal coordination of the departments resources
  • Supervise personnel assigned to the department and make certain proper training is completed
  • Oversee process and shipment of customer orders for timely delivery to satisfy final customer
  • Responsible for tracking the key measurable relative to the Department such as Purchase Price Variance, Materials Usage Variance, Days of Stock, Supplier quality, etc.


Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in monthly and quarterly physical inventory
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous and professional manner
  • Perform job in a safe manner
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Education / Experience / Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field or 3-5 years of related experience
  • Automotive plant experience preferred but not required
  • SAP experience is required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
