Project Approach
The following approach will provide a cost-effective process to deliver a comprehensive 5S training program and hands-on implementation (Kaizen) support.
Day 1:
- TPT will deploy a 5S consultant to conduct a 4-hour formal classroom training session on 5S.
- The remainder of day one will be spent on the shop floor working on one of the prioritized areas.
Day 2:
- TPT will continue to work with plants dedicated project team to do hands on Kaizen events to teach, coach and transfer knowledge. Â
Day 3:
- TPT will wrap up the Kaizen the team is currently working on and will spend the afternoon in a classroom environment recapping progress, answer questions pertaining to the 5S process and establish a cadence for weekly Zoom meetings for progress review and ongoing coaching/training.
- TPT will provide a structured agenda for each progress meeting and at or near the completion of this engagement, TPT will provide a comprehensive 5S weekly check list to provide the mechanism for sustainment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Scope of Work
Conduct a 4-hour training session for leadership and stakeholders on Workplace Organization and 5S.
Complete 1-3 5S Kaizen events on the shop floor.
Take pictures of areas before and after, if applicable.
Develop and provide an accurate estimate for all required 5S materials list e.g., bins, totes, signage, shadow boards, floor tape etc. required to maintain an orderly work environment.
Conduct a final project review with leadership and stakeholders.
Provide a 5S check list template and standardized work for future sustainment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide 4 (1 hour) weekly virtual progress and coaching sessions to ensure progress is being made. These meetings will be focused on continuing to coach and train team.
