- Borg Warner contacted TPT to provide Quality Engineering (QE) Support at their facility in Highland Park, MI.
- The plant was in launch mode and required additional, hands on resources on the shop floor to improve first time through metrics.
Scope
- TPT deployed a team of three (3) QE’s to work under the direction of Borg Warner’s Quality Engineering Manager at the Highland Park, MI facility.
- Our primary tasks were:
- Root Cause Analysis
- 8D Problem Solving
- Corrective Actions Development and implementation
- Updating work instructions
- Gage R&R support
Success
- Our initial contract was for five (5) weeks. Based on the positive outcome of the initial engagement, TPT’s QE’s have been extended and additional QE’s were added to the team. As of June 2023, TPT has been supporting Borg Warner for over six months of continuous service.
