Description
- Jim Beam Suntory was experiencing a considerable amount of waste and inefficiencies in their barrel fill and transportation process to their various Rick House storage facilities throughout the Bardstown Kentucky area.
Scope
- TPT provided a current state value stream map and conducted MODAPTS time studies on Beam Suntory’s barrel fill, inspection, transportation, and storage operations. We identified a considerable amount of waste and inefficiencies associated with their current state methods.
- TPT Industrial Engineers conducted rapid improvement kaizens and created a Lean and efficient future state value stream map, and revised MODAPTS data accordingly.
Success
- TPT supported Beam Suntory with the implementation of the future state layout. This project lead to another warehouse optimization at one of their other facilities.
